Bowen Therapy was developed in the 1950’s and 60’s in Australia by the late Tom Bowen and has been practised in the UK since 1993. It is a unique technique in which the therapist applies a light rolling movement across muscles, tendons and ligaments. The precision and particular sequence of the moves, interspersed with short periods of rest, produce a strong bodily response that initiates healing.
Bowen moves can ease pain, release toxins, improve joint mobility and calm the nervous system. Bowen Therapy is a very relaxing form of bodywork which increases energy, promotes deeper, more restful sleep and improves posture.
Conditions that this therapy can help include:
- Neck, shoulder and back pain,
- Sciatica,
- Tennis Elbow,
- Migraine,
- Asthma,
- Hayfever,

- Chronic Fatigue,
- Stress,
