Bowen Therapy

Description

Bowen therapy was developed in the 1950’s and 60’s in Australia by the late Tom Bowen and has been practised in the UK since 1993. It is a unique technique in which the therapist applies a light rolling movement across muscles, tendons and ligaments. The precision and particular sequence of the moves, interspersed with short periods of rest, produce a strong bodily response that initiates healing.

These Bowen moves can ease pain, release toxins, improve joint mobility and calm the nervous system.

Bowen Therapy is a very relaxing form of bodywork which increases energy, promotes deeper, more restful sleep and improves posture.
